Hello NLRS land

Aurora'26 will be held on Saturday, May 30, running from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (CDT).   The conference location is the West Medicine Lake Community Club, 1705 Forestview Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55441.  Conference Fee is $5 for individuals; $7 for a family and free to first-time attendees.

The afternoon technical program is starting to take shape:

  • Optical Communications Update - K0XL/K0THZ
  • NLRS Business Meeting with Elections
  • An EME Presentation (subject still in discussion) - N0AKC
  • Microwave DXing Via Rain Scatter - W9FZ
  • AI-assisted 222 MHz Yagi-Uda Design - K8OS
  • (As time allows) The W0ZQ/B 222 beacon based on the RFZero board - W0ZQ

Some conference highlights include:
  • With support from super volunteers KA9VVQ and W9FZ, we will once again feature pizza for lunch for just $10.  You must preregister for this.  See the NLRS website referenced above.
  • During the morning hours, during the car-trunk to car-trunk swap, we should have two 5.7 and 10GHz stations operational.  Come make your first microwave contact !
  • Its an election year, all three club officers are up for election.  If you would like to step forward to volunteer for a club office and wish to talk about it, drop me a direct email, W0ZQ@aol,com
  • Nominations for the Wesslund Award remain open.  See information about the Wesslund Award on our clubs website referenced above.
  • At our business meeting at Aurora we will be voting on a change to our bylaws as previously posted.
