Yes, we all drink kool aid, even the kind that makes the loudest critics have a hobby of that same radiation. I am fully willing to make a scientific case of what I said previously,   maybe even a presentation.

A 100 foot tower with 14 dbd, 90 degree horizontal antennas that have typically a 7 degree vertical beamwidth will overshoot the house, even as it spreads.  Geometry will show exposure in a around the house will be WELL below the occupational limit (the 6 min referred to previous) at the frequencies mentioned.

I don't, and never liked cellsites in Residencial areas. Microcells, yes. Now this discussion does not include ionizing radiation such as coming from your AC outlet. Now theres conflicting opinions!

Enough of that for now...

Have a good day

Well I will say that anyone who worked in the industry has been drinking the Kool- Aid..so of course there is no problem!

IN THE SHORT TERM.  If It does not COOK you..then Its OK?

There is AMPLE evidence of the LONG TERM EXPOSURE (More than 6 Minutes) effects of even LOW levels ( Much lower than the COOKING Limits)  of RF are not good for your Bio systems...and especially if your Body is YOUNG and Developing !    You can ignore the real data and Drink the KOOL-AID....but the FACTS remain.

YOUR CIA Withhold Russian Reports of the effects for 25 years....the Russians have LIMITS that are 100 times lower than the FREE World...Why?    Maybe the Almighty Buck is not everything...EVERYWHERE?

In my Personal Opinion, IF Climate change does not finish our Civilization, Then 5G millimeter wave Will! . I have given up trying to fight it....it will not affect me, and I have NO Grandchildren !

First, I was in two-way and cellular engineering for 40 years. Based on my experience: 4G and 5G strives for low power. This is not the days of high power analog. Also, the antenna have a narrow vertical beam and at 400 ft the major of the RF is above the property.  So, you have low power being beamed (Star Trek technical term) above the property. I would say from a safety standard it's safer as, has been said a phone stuck to your ear. Besides, if it their carrier, they will have great in-building coverage and max 5g speed.

Holding a cell phone to your ear is probably much much more troublesome that living 400 ft away from a cell tower.   EMF very close to the antenna (ie, like a cell phone) can be "high" but they drop off very quickly with distance.  As Mary said, no issue (unless he wants to operate on 902).

Rf field is low that far away, no issues.

Good morning, all,

I have a friend, a fellow ham, who is looking at a property where the house sits about 400 ft. from an active cell tower that's running on 751, 885, and 2.1GHz.  He asked me to put out a query to this group asking if anybody would have concerns living that distance from a cell tower, particularly with young children in the house?

Thanks and 73,
