I have an isolation relay board that I think would work in this application. Let me check if I have one built up.
I think the solid state version would work better since it uses an LED rather than a coil. The board is set up for 12 volts, but should work at 5 volts with a smaller resistor in the LED path.
I think I have one board built up, but have lots of blank boards in the event I don't. Only a handful of parts on it if I have to build one.
