Busy weekend here, so I was on for just an hour here and an hour there. Overall it has been a slow sporadic E's season and it looks like its carried over into this contest. Supposedly high solar flux suppresses summertime E's, but maybe helps with Fall F2. No great shakes happened on 2m either, very typical tropo. Despite all that, fun to play radio.
Given the change in landscape that FTx has brought upon us, I think that this particular contest is well positioned to address what has now become essentially a VHF digital contest. Either create an analog only category, or perhaps allow more than one contact per band based on mode (ala the 10m contest). Being that it is just a 6 and 2m contest, no 222 and up like the ARRL VHF contests, it could get creative to entice more activity.
