Hello NLRS Land!

Just another (final!) friendly reminder... *** AURORA'24 is this Saturday, June 1, 2024 ***

The weather forecast looks good for this year's event, with the NWS forecasting temps in the upper 70's, partly sunny, and a slight chance (20%) of rain after 1 pm. So the morning looks great for outdoor socializing, etc., and the slight chance of rain after 1 pm is irrelevant...we'll all be indoors listening to some great talks anyway!

So why not plan to spend some quality time with your fellow NLRSers this Saturday!

You can register for the event "at the door" on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm: $5 individuals, $7 family, free for first time attendees! Cash or check accepted.

Here are the details again about this year's event:

When: Saturday, June 1, 2024, 0900-1700 CDT
Where: West Medicine Lake Community Club, 1705 Forestview Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55441

From 0900 to 1130, Donn, WA2VOI, and friends will be running the the outdoor antenna test range (weather permitting). Bring along your antennas and check out their performance for the upcoming VHF+ season and contests!

Also during the morning hours is a lot of socializing, show and tell, and casual demonstrations. Let everyone know what you've been up to! The ever-popular "trunk trade" will be happening too!

Lunch is 12:00 to 1:00 pm. If you are registering at the event on Saturday, lunch will be on your own. For those of you who sent in your registrations earlier via mail for the pizza lunch, well, you're gonna have some great pizza!

The technical programs start at 1300 and typically run until 1700 or 1730. We have some great talks this year! Take a look!....

Aurora is always a good time to see, learn, and share ideas with like-minded fellow VHFers.  If you know of someone who has a growing interest in this facet of our amazing hobby, invite them along.  Please share this information with others.

I hope to see you at this year's conference!

Janice, KA9VVQ
