The TV stations here in Chicago are suggesting that the Aurora from this storm may be visible from much farther south than typically happens. States mentioned were Alabama, Oklahoma, Virginia and northern California.

If it reaches TOO FAR to the south, might that impact how effective the potential enhancement is for stations farther to the north?

Now, if there was just a way to assure that the skies would be clear so it would be visible in the 'light' spectrum.
