All,

I just heard from ARRL Radio Sport Awards / Sharan Taratula, notifying me of achieving FFMA #41.  I’ve been working on this operating award since 2009.

Collecting confirmed QSLs from all 488 grids is not simple nor quick and requires operators in all of those 488 grids.  NLRS members have supplied contacts from a large number of Midwest grids, and beyond, to me!

I want to thank the many NLRS members and the NLRS organization for their very significant contributions to VHF operating that supported my progress towards the FFMA award.

Additionally,

Several NLRS members have traveled long distances operating portable or rover to supply multiple “rare grids”.  That list includes AC0RA, K0SIX and W9FZ.  Extra thank-you’s go to these operators!

Also, thank-you for the many telephone congratulations received from AURORA attendees on Saturday.

Hello Lloyd:

Congratulations on your Fred Fish Memorial Award achievement.  This is such a prestigious accomplishment.

I will order a plaque for you.  Your plaque number will be 41.  Can you tell me how you would like your name to

be engraved on the plaque?  As a word to the wise, it may be several more weeks before the plaque is ordered.

Thank you for your participation in the program!

Sharon
