May be off topic of NLRS but I had a good time yesterday. Tried Straight Key Night on

40 M with no answers calling CQ and guys on the air were going too fast for me. Went

back yesterday, listened for five minutes and heard AE0EE calling CQ on 7.043.97 MHz.

Called him 2 x 2 and Bill came back to me with ga mel. We went back and forth for abt

5 min then ended with Shave & Haircut.

There are about 800,000 licensed amateurs in USA. What are the chances that I could

find somebody on 40 M cw that could call me by name ? Amazing !

Now I have about 3/8 inch of ice on Van Gorden All Bander dipole. Paul, how much power

do I have to run to melt it off ?
