Hello Leonardo. And everybody else. The 9700 is a great rig and once you get it configured correctly for ft8 can be allot of fun. I run ft8 mobile using whips from en54 up through en57 and en67 with a 7300 and 9700 and had a blast. I am in en54 this week end but didnt bring any radios. IF you cant find anybody (a local) to run with you on ft8 this week end a suggestion or reminder that next week end is the september vhf contest there should be plenty of activity analog and digital on for that contest. Also suggesting  that you try to dig up a 1296 antenna. The 10 watts from the 9700 and some kind of beam might be enough to work some of the locals. I have done it with 20 feet of pipe and some 1/2 hardline and a small end fed looper off the bumper of my van as a rover. If by some chance you dont make your 1st ft8 contact this week end hit me up with a email and we can go over the settings and see if we can figure out what's going on.  73 good luck. Marshall wd9exd
