Hello NLRS land.
I notice this morning that the ARRL 222 & Up Distance Contest raw scores are posted on the Leagues website. Scores for this distance based contest do not have National ranking as ranking is by "Area" where most of NLRS land is in Area 10. Here are the Area 10 raw scores:
Area 10, Single Operator, Fixed
Congratulations to Bill, Gary and Justin. Your humble author was 4th with 24,762. For rovers:
1. KC0P/R 35,445
1. N0HZO/R 35,445
Congratulations to Mel & Carol, and Larry.
Overall the club looks to finish in 3rd place out of a total of eight clubs with a score of 155,582 and with 10 logs. Only the Mt Airy club had more logs with 14.
With good weather predicted for this week its a good time for antenna work ahead of the September VHF contest, Sept 10 and 11. Make sure to post your plans to the W0UC Activity Page at http://tinyurl.com/SeptVHF2022 where there are already about 30 fixed stations listed. W0ZQ/R is planning on being out and about, how about some other rovers? If you have a rig but no antenna, ask as the club is a vast resource. How about loaning out some of that equipment that is collecting dust? Towards that end I have a FT100D, with 6, 2, and 432 that someone can borrow.
