After a weekend camping at Brush Lake State Park, MT (DN78wo) for a 6m grid activation (and bonus POTA operation), K0BBC and AE0EE are returned---at least as far as Williston, ND. During the June VHF Contest we made about 250 QSOs and got around 130 grids using 100 W and a 3-el Yagi antenna up 20'. Many of the Fred Fish Memorial Award chasers who are nearly to the award and needed the grid got into the log. We had dry weather but very little wind, which kept the kite antennas for HF from being effective. Hot food, cold drinks, and modern comforts have now been attained. More info will follow after we drive across the Dakotas on Monday (and finish driving home Tuesday morning).
