I'll bet it is going to be expensive. If/when it goes into production, I wonder how many they are likely to sell?

I estimate that my 2304 and 5760 transverters cost less than $150 each.

I am eagerly looking forward to the production model.  I was standing next to the SHF radio when it wasn't under glass at the time this video was recorded.   See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHAIvjbKgg4

This is a concept project.   Later ICOM will move into more of a beta test.  They might release it in a couple of years.

It is housed inside an ICOM 705 box.   It may put out somewhere between 1 and 10 watts.

Because it is only a concept project at this time, there are several unknowns regarding the final production model.

PS.  If anyone wants a copy of their flyer, let me know...I can scan and email to anyone interested.

ICOM had a prototype on display of an SHF radio at Hamvention.
The web site is an interesting quick read. https://www.icomjapan.com/lp/shf/
I like the idea of the RF module on the mast and a remote control head in the shack to reduce feed line losses.
