[NLRS] NLRS Breakfast THIS Saturday, 10 Jan 2026

Well, maybe a little late, but Happy New Year!

If you are a new-comer, or maybe you pushed the 'Reset' button 5 days ago, a reminder of
the NLRS Breakfast locations and schedule:
We alternate locations between ' MapleWOOD (east) and Maple GROVE (west)'  with EVEN
months in Maple Grove; ODD months in Maplewood. Start time at 0900, both locations.  The
NLRS web site (www.NLRS.club) has Google maps for both locations.  And, Janice, KA9VVQ, 
has
updated the Breakfast schedule for the year on the web site.

Since January is an ODD month, the first 2026 NLRS Breakfast will be at  The Golden Corral
Buffet located at 3000 White Bear Ave, MapleWOOD, MN 55109.

The Golden Corral Buffet  is in a small strip mall on the east side of White Bear Ave in
the SE corner of White Bear Ave and Woodlyn Ave.  (Woodlyn is a block+  south of County Rd
'D' and I-694).   The Golden Corral is a bit hard to see, but the Aldi's Supermarket is
very
obvious... and the  Golden Corral  is  next door to the east.

"Official" start time at 0900. (Although they open a bit earlier.)

No one has suggested a  "discussion" topic, so unless someone has something for
show-n-tell, we're on our own.   (And  I would prefer NOT spending  all morning talking
about the weather!)   Maybe a new "toy" from Santa... or something you'd like help
with... or ?

The weather doesn't look to be too bad Friday night/Saturday morning... maybe even a bit
better that is usual for January.
For  Friday, a 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. North wind 5
to 10 mph.  Over Friday night,  40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low
around 23. North northwest wind around 10 mph.  And on Saturday a 30 percent chance of
snow, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. North northwest wind 10 to
15 mph.

No forecasts for the amount of snow either Friday of Saturday.  My GUESS, looking at the
maps, is not too much snow.  A fast moving low will sweep through Friday/Saturday and be
over Chicago by Saturday morning.  Lets hope, anyway.

Anyway,  hope to see a number of you there.
