Hi everyone,

The first weekend of this years 10 GHz and Up Cumulative is coming up
the weekend after next. There will be a few of us roving on the
Minnesota North Shore as well as groups in Michigan near Copper Harbor
and in Canada.

There are eight of us roving the NS. One more new op from Wisconsin may
join us but he hasn't confirmed.  Three with 24 G and two with 47G

The UP has anywhere from eight to ten ops, including one unconfirmed and
another a maybe to join the group activity or he may operate from Mt
Horace Greeley as a solo. Again unconfirmed. Then there are two more who
have said they want to go but are very unlikely to make the trip. The UP
has three with 24 G and this time only one with 47 G.

The VE ops haven't said for sure but most recent info is there will be
five Canadian ops spending one day at Marathon and another in the
Terrace Bay area. That way they can work the NS and UP ops more then
once during the weekend.  As far as I know there are only two Canadians
with 24 and maybe one with 47 G.

Last there is Jon, ZQ who has tentative plans to operate from sites on
the south end of the lake, with a different site each day. There is a
chance that an op from the Bayfield area may join Jon and operate from
the Bayside peninsula. But again, unconfirmed.

One of the problems is that so many of the UP regulars are not able to
make the trip this time. A variety of reasons from health problems in
the family, to a planned move and the need to move one of their kids to
college. Then there are a couple who thought they could do better by
staying on Lake Erie. The result is no 78 G this time and only one
station with 47 G versus the six in 2022. On the positive side there are
lots of new people who are going to join us this time.

Having said all that, those of us on the MN NS would like to work as
many of you staying back in the Twin Cities area as possible. We have a
good site with views back to town on Saturday morning from the Duluth
area. We get on the air starting at 7 AM 1200Z. In 2022 we worked Cannon
Falls, Highview road from two different sites Saturday morning. Another
local site is the Burnsville office park parking lot. It's become
overgrown over the years but should still offer a good view to the north
if you dodge the trees. Depending on local activity the NS rovers can
use a second site Saturday morning that only has views back to the
south. It's not ten miles from the other sites that we use to work
Michigan and Canada, so southern Q's only. There are one or two sites on
the north end of the path, that offer a view back to the south but we
won't be there until late in the day on Saturday or mid morning Sunday.

Please let me know what you plan to do so we can work the contacts into
our busy schedule.
