[NLRS] NLRS Monthly Breakfast is THIS Saturday, 8 November in MapleWOOD

The monthly breakfast is THIS Saturday, 8 November:  'odd-numbered' month,
so the Golden Corral in MAPLEWOOD.

Everyone is welcome... we don't bite - - honest.

Some of our "regulars" won't make it... as 'snow-birds' they've "joined" our feathered
friends on their way to warmer climes.  Hopefully, we'll ALL have good weather over the
winter.

Rob, K0XL, will  have some items regarding light communications as 'show-n-tell'.  He and
Warren, WF0T, have been working on light systems for several years with good results.
Recent equipment that's inexpensive and easy to work with makes the light frequencies much
easier to work with: 635nM (red) and 850nm (infrared) have great potential for "true"
communication... actual miles, not 100's of feet!  Turns out that clouds work well as
"reflectors" also.

Rob is also the Trustee for a new Club license, K0THZ, for the "Aurora Optical
Communications Society."  Its a small group but has growth potential !


WX for Saturday looks reasonable for November (Ugh - summer is OVER !) Low Friday night 
~30°, with a chance of rain/snow.  Mostly cloudy with a high of 38°.  If your yard work 
isn't done, its too late !

 NE wind 5 to 10mph.

Start time is 0900.  Discussion has been know to last past
1030 or even 1100.
