A definite maybe Lenny. With all the things going on at Aurora'25 yesterday I didn't get a chance to talk about next weekends June VHF contest very much. W0UC said he will probably be at the farm in EN44 and AWU reports his 10GHz system is up and running again, so those are all positive influencers for me ! I will be keeping an eye on the weather as we get closer to next weekend and later this week will announce what I plan to do, hopefully others do the same. If I go roving, it will be a casual affair and probably analog only, no interest in dragging a computer along. Yes, that will have a significant impact on my score. The other question would be what bands to take if I rove, the full boat of ten bands, 6m through 10GHz, which is a lot of work. Or, maybe a limited rove of 6, 2, 222, 432. For fun I could throw in the 5.7 and 10G dish to hand out contacts on those two bands to those so looking but still play in the limited rover category. Another idea is ten bands less 2304 and 3400 since only GHZ has them, hence eight bands which is a little easier to set up in the rover. Finally, if nothing else, I would grab the 5.7 and 10 GHz dishes and do some uW roving to work you and any others who may be around.
So yes, weather permitting and the creek don't rise, I do plan to make some 10 GHz Qs this weekend from a few grids. Exact plans will depend on how the weather shapes up, how much energy I have to construct the rover, and whos going to be around to work an analog (CW/SSB/FM) only rover.
