[NLRS] FYI: Optical QSO

Years ago I saw a circuit that used an OSRAM Golden Dragon LED as a
detector. You had to use an X-Acto knife to cut into the soft clear plastic
encapsulation over the diode and cut one tiny wire. The LED could then be
used as a detector. I cannot for the life of me find the article that
described this use. But it was pretty optimistic about results.
