Hello NLRS land
The 26th annual Minnesota QSO Party is this Saturday, February 3rd, from 1400 UTC (8:00 AM CST) to 2400 UTC (6:00 PM CST).  MN stations work everyone; all other W/VE & DX work MN stations. Work stations once per band and per mode.  MN mobiles and rovers may be worked once per band & mode from each county, & MN mobiles and rovers may work stations once per band & mode from each county.  All HF bands from 160m to 10m may be used excluding the WARC bands.  Phone and CW (Note that RTTY, PSK, JT6M, Olivia, Feld-Hell, JT65 all count as CW and that there is NO FT4/FT8 contacts allowed).  Full information include lots of fun stuff found at https://www.w0aa.org/mn-qso-party/
This is a really fun and causal event.  As a Minnesota based station the World is looking for us so the key is to get on and to call "CQ the MN QSO Party".  You send to them your first name & county while they send back their first name and state / province.  If its DX they send back only their first name.  Pretty simple and lots of fun.  So far this year there are 12 mobiles headed out to activate all 87 Minnesota counties, check out the website and its activity map.  With the mild weather this year perhaps you have some interest in trying out some HF mobile our county portable work too, its a lot easier that VHF roving !
Last year the NLRS won the club competition generated from 11 entries.  Not too bad for a VHF club!   So this year we once again have to defend the cup.  If you spend some time playing in this fun event this Saturday make sure to indicate NLRS on your log.
