Comments:

5 W, with 3 elements on 2 m, 3 elements on 222, 7 elements (vertically
polarized) on 432, and the piece de resistance: a dummy load and short clip
lead
on 6 meters. All antennas indoors in the upper story of a house.

For this contest, I primarily used the Yesu FT-857d, though a handheld made
an
appearance for one of the 446 MHz contacts to decrease the feedline loss to
the
antenna as well as all the 222 MHz contacts.

I set a new personal best for a 5 W/dummy load contact: working a station in
Woodbury at a distance of just over 16 miles. It wasn't easy (for him), but
when he pointed at me it was enough to make it work.

While I spent less time than I might have liked on this one, I was
surprised at
how well things went given my extremely modest station. It would've been
nice
to get another grid on a few bands, though.
