Jon
Thanks congrats.
Yes 50 or so watts is a bit light but probably doable with a 3 m dish.
The pyro joe Spectrian amps are nice as they will do 150 to 170 watts reliably.

Nice going Al ! How many bands does he have WAS on now?

As you probably know, the WA2AAU 1900 MHz PCS amps can do about 70 watts, easy to modify for 2304. Still maybe not EME grade but getting there? Price is right.

FYI - Al Ward, W5ULA, completed WAS on 902 this morning to become the
first amateur to attain WAS on this band.

KA6U has been out on a huge 902 EME rove and gave Al his last state this
morning, which was believe it or not, Wisconsin. I have been trying to
get on 902 EME, but have been having many problems and have not been
successful there. There is a core group that has been pushing for 902
WAS (many of the guys involved in the 222 push a few years back) that
are getting close themselves. The cornfield EME guys down by Cedar
Rapids are part of that group.

I know the intent s for this group to move up to 2304 next to get the
first WAS done there and I hope to join them, but I need to find an
appropriate amplifier in order to do that. My current 20 watts isn't
going to cut it.
