The antenna range folks Jon didn't mention should get a lot MORE credit than myself !
Rob, K0XL provided most of the test equipment. He's been working on a "modern" was of
measurement for some time has it almost licked. Mel, KC0P provided some analysis of
antenna resonance frequency and impedance before the gain measurements. Doug, N0NAS
assisted both Mel and myself and Rob.
Thanks to the three of them... couldn't have done it without them.

Subject: [NLRS] Aurora'23
It was warm at Aurora'23 this year, but the good news was that there was no snow. We had
around 50 registered attendees who exchanged some boat anchors and items only found at
Aurora, tested some antennas, demo'ed some microwave systems, had a nice pizza lunch in
the cool air conditioned building, and learned some things at our afternoon technical
conference session. Thanks to the afternoon presenters KC0P, AC0RA, N0AKC, and K0XL for
their hard work. Also a tip of the hat to club officers KA9VVQ and N0KP, along with WA2VOI
(and others) for the antenna range, and KA9VVQ/W9FZ for their idea and support for our
first time every onsite pizza lunch. Also thanks to W0UC for his organizational skills and
many many years of Aurora registration work.
