Hi everyone,

Plans for the first weekend are still up in the air.

Here is what I know:

WØZQ, WA2VOI, NØKP and WBØLJC plan to be on. NØUK and KØHAC has
expressed an interest in roving. Lenny, KØSHF has expressed interest in
getting on. I haven't heard from them, but I guess that WØGHZ and KØAWU
will be available from home, at least part time.

W9FZ, KA9VVQ, WFØT, KCØINQ, NØAKC are not available for the first weekend.

WBØLJC would like to rove. NØKP is checking about access to the building
top he has used previously. Everyone else's plans are undetermined.

Possible rover route, depending on fixed site availability and weather,
would start at Ellsworth, IA, EN32fg. First we would run with the
Missouri ops at EM49hq. Probably at least three people there including
AD7OI and KI7GVT with their 60 W make your own propagation rig. If
conditions are good work some others in different directions as time
permits. Then travel westerly ending the day at Storm Lake. Sunday
travel back east while keeping 10 miles away from previous sites.
Some/many sites are known and have been used in the past. However, there
is still the corn problem. Some sites are always good back to the north
but nothing has been checked out this time. We miss you Dr. Jerry.
Sunday the plan is to end the day at Kiester, EN33en. From there work
any available longer paths the Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, western Iowa,
Illinois and Wisconsin. There are a number of stations in these areas
with fixed stations and dishes on their towers. Be aware that the areas
I have picked are often over 330 km back to the NLRS fixed station. Not
always easy  like last year where we had a cold front between the ends.
Paths to the other states are even longer. A number over 400 km and one
each at 526 and 602 km. Probably need rain for the last two.

Just a heads up, there has been some talk about going to Wilmot, SD and
maybe the viewing tower near Sisseton for the September weekend. I have
a rover route for the second weekend to work SD that starts near
Northfield and travels south on I-35, with some sites overlooking the
freeway.  Keep it in mind as KØKFC will not be available in September.

Who is interested in getting on and where do you plan to operate? Let me
know I will get the info out to all.

73, Gary WBØLJC
