The secret to 4G and 5G...it causes tower crews to have troubleshooting experience on the tower but operationally the best way. Just need spares (in an ideal world).

ICOM had a prototype on display of an SHF radio at Hamvention.

I like the idea of the RF module on the mast and a remote control head in
the shack to reduce feed line losses.
