I like Manitowish Waters Airport.

You are visible from Hwy 51, so you will get a lot of questions from tourists. 

No, you don’t have to go on the flightline. Where I’m thinking is like a ball diamond, a parking lot, and maybe a community center. 

Because I was only there for 2-hour stretches, I never asked permission and never got hassled. 

I really don’t think you’d have a problem if you were there all day. Sure, maybe reach out to the community center…..maybe not.

It is in the SW corner of the grid.
