This is the Maxi-Plan, how much of it happens is TBD.
First of all are social events: HS Graduation Party for Grandson, Saturday 5 PMin West Bloomington. Sunday morning church service 10:30 AM Springvale justwest of Cambridge, MN . This is the church of Carol's childhood. These eventswill happen for sure. Ham Radio, I would like to try some long distance contacts as well as the 100 mileregulars. This means trying for AC0RA Ortenville and K2DRH from EN33xw andEN43aw. Hilltop location in a rainstorm early Saturday afternoon ? West Bloomington is EN34ht a Grade school hilltop location only one block fromgraduation party. Just two blocks west of Normandale Community College. I thinkthere will be five Ham Radio operators at the party. How many do you think I cantalk into going out in the rain at 7:30 ? After church & lunch Sunday I want to go north towards Hinkley. Near Rush Pointhalf way up is a cemetary to visit. Near there is Great Divide EN35kp. The localstell me water to the East drains into the St. Croix River and to the West is Miss.river. I want to try K0AWU and AC0RA from there as well as the locals. Then up to West Hinkley EN36la at the base of the MPR FM transmitter. K0AWUhas been an easy shot from there, also want to try KC0UDO in EN36wq Suoerior, WIand maybe AC0RA if open. Then to East Hinkley EN36ma where there is a goodtakeoff towards W0UC, W0GHZ & W0ZQ that has worked before. Think KC0UDO
could be worked from here if not already done from EN36la. Then a short driveto SE Hinkley to EN35mx if needed for K0AWU & KC0UDO. Then start the long drive back to Rochester, There could be a cleanup stop inWhite Bear 35E & 96 EN35LB for anything missed earlier in the day and/orOakdale 694 & 10th EN34mx. If its raining too hard Saturday forenoon we may be forced to abandon EN43awand just use EN33sx. Preferred frequencies in my memories50.170 SSB144.190 SSB222.100 SSB432.100 SSB902.100 SSB1296.100 SSB or CWBut with a phone call to 612-804-4460 I can be talked into any frequency, I have VFO. Hope to work you on the bands, Mel KC0P/R & Carol N0HZO/R
