Mary Does the street light cause noise during the day even when light is off?Maybe in standby mode ? I have noise 24 7.I have a lot more noise too for a while now , I notice the city is putting in LED street lights here too as the old ones fail.Not sure where my noise is coming from , I have been looking , but need to go out DFing I the noise peaks up when I point towards twin Cities and that is bad .I run noise blanker and NR in my new IC- 9700 it helps but not enough .

Called Xcel on the street light last Monday, not a priority, we will fix it
when we can. One of those new LED lights and this will be the 5th bad power
supply in it, they need to try a different model/brand of light! Light is
east of me too and that is where most of you are. 

 

Xcel has been less than useful now that the FCC isn't enforcing power line
RFI issues, they told me to call the ARRL to get help. When I have tracked
the sources down myself and just need it FIXED! 

 

Hope to have most of the problem areas fixed by June. some aurora would have
helped, at least pointing NE the noise drops to S7 or so.
