Here's an update of the August 20 and 21 10 G Cumulative weekend
operation on Lake Superior.

Currently we have:

Minnesota North Shore rovers: 6 ops with 10 G only. 4 with 10 G and
higher bands.

We start near Duluth and travel up the coast on Saturday. Then
Sunday we reverse the route.

Michigan UP, Keweenaw Peninsula copper Harbor area: 6 ops with 10 G
only. 6 ops with 10 G and higher bands.

There will be groups at Great Sand Bay and Mt Brockway each day.
Sunday the groups switch sites to                     rework the MN rovers.

Marathon Ontario: 1 op with 10 G only. 3 ops with 10 G and higher bands.
According to Barry, VE4MA, there could be a few more. He has loaner
equipment for all the bands that we pan to operate.

1 op who is undecided but could go to either side.

4 more who are interested but don't know if they can make the trip until
later in the year.

Many have already made their reservations. I encourage you to so so soon
as the area is a prime vacation location during the summer.

Still a number of local Minnesota ops who haven't replied.

All three locations plan to have ops with good equipment on 24 G and at
least one high quality station on 47 G.  Barry, VE4MA, is interested in
running on 76/78 G from Marathon to  Mt. Brockway on the Keweenaw.

I have also identified a couple of new sites that may be open back to
the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area. I know of three, but there may be as
many as four more. Will any one be on from the Twin Cities area?

Nothing is set in stone. Everyone's plans can change on short notice.
Please keep me informed of any changes in your plans.

If you are interested in joining to fun for a ham radio weekend and
haven't already contacted me, then please let me know. If you need more
information I can also help.

73, Gary WBØLJC
