DSN=AugUHF2022 222 & up Distance Contest 2022 Mel 01/08/2022My focus will be to follow a rover route East from St. Charles and South
towards Waterloo, IA to maximize distances to MSP, Eau Claire and try to
get close enough to Madison and maybe Schaumburg to get some new ones in
the log. We have 222, 432, 902 & 1296 operational. There is a chance 2304
can be added. The sequence of grids could be St. Charles for EN33xw & EN43aw
Then Easst to Wilson for EN44da and Ridgeway again for EN43fv
Then South to Hanover, IA for EN43fi with a good takeoff North
Continue South to West Union EN42bw
Overnight at Olewine, IA
Maybe East to Strawberry Point EN42ep for a good takeoff E. & SE
Then West to Hawkeye for EN32xx
Then W & N past New Hampton for another try at EN33ue Maximum distance from EN42ep to EN44hr is 145 miles. I have worked
K0AWU from EN33xw at 230 miles when conditions were decent, so I
think this can work. Goiny to be iffy to predict times but think I
have the sequence right. WE have used these sights for 10 GHz in the past but looking to
give it a try on the lower bands for a new experience. I have worked
WA0GGM on 1296 from Hawkeye once in the past. I aam open to suggestions. Mel KC0P/R
