[NLRS] Friday Morning Activity Event - great idea!

We used to have an activity night Wed nights to just hang out and ragchew.
People found spots to point antenna(s) where they could hear most of the
group... or swung them back and forth in my case with my narrow 15 degree
beamwidth.

Hi Rich. Sounds like a great idea! I like the early time and day (better
propagation and doesn't interfere with family weekend activities).
Is this a one-time event or are you suggesting weekly?
My antenna/rotor should be fixed soon.

Hi All -

A few of us have been talking about increasing activity (and fun) on the
VHF/UHF bands.  We're trying to get everyone to dust off the rigs, hit the
power button and have some fun.

The Hepburn charts for Friday morning look encouraging!  There is a good
chance of enhancement and some nice signals on the bands!

Here are the details about theFriday operating event:

* Friday, June 18th
* 6am - 7am Central

* Get on the air and make a bunch of contacts.  Call CQ on all bands and
respond to other CQ's.  We're working to have stations on from all around
the area so look in all directions.

* Report your QSO totals, best distance, soapbox, etc. on the reflector.
