NY0A:

Single Band Single Operator, 6m, PH

47 Q x 32 grids = 1504 points

My longest distance contact was AL1VE in DN02.  Others to the West were
in DM38, DM54, DM58, DM78, DM79, and DO42, one contact in each grid.

“Locals” were N0HJZ, N0DLR, and AC0RA.

And the lone EM79 was K9NW.

All the rest of my contacts were in FM and FN.

The South and SouthEast never opened up, though I briefly heard NG0C
before he disappeared.

I looked for the rovers in South Dakota and other locals, but no joy
other than the 3 listed above.

Two operators thanked me for operating Phone as they were, like many of
us, concerned about the lack of Phone participation in the contests due
to the influx of Digital modes.

I am not anti-digital, but it is simply another mode and does not have
any appeal to me.

About 60 percent of my contacts were either 23 watts (driving power for
the KPA500) or 100 watts, the remainder were with the amp at about 350
watts.  Antenna is a home-built YU7EF design EF0606W1, six elements on a
20 foot boom, at 40 feet.
