Just a note regarding planning of in-person gatherings.
For the 2 dose current vaccines, the "protected period" starts 2 or 3 weeks
after the 2nd inoculation. The inter-inoculation period is 3 or 4 weeks
depending on the manufacturer. Many of us 65+ folks should receive our
first dose by the end of March. That would put us "good to go" roughly by
mid-May. Younger folks in our fold may have to wait longer for their shots
but also may receive a 'one and done' inoculation.
