Only W0ZF checked in tonight, I was going to cover some 2 meter e-skip
opening stuff for new stations and old

SPREAD OUT! When everyone parks on .200 it turns into a pile of noise, not
all e-skip stations are S9+++. I have worked many who were right at my noise
floor!

E-skip is rare on 2m and can be very in and out, it is not a rag chew mode
unless it persists like that opening a while back. That one was in for 2
hours. Exchange should be kept brief, signal report/grid
square/name(optional, with computer logging looking up info this really
isn't needed). Not a rag chew mode, other locals might want to work whoever
you are hearing.

I ALWAYS repeat the other stations call sign and grid back to them. If you
misheard something they can correct AND it gives locals the info on where
the band is open to.

W0ZF brought this up, many of us now have band scopes, you can see activity
up and down the band so zero reason to cluster on .200, I can see the WD9BGA
repeater signal when it is right at marginal signal strength so the scope
hears well!

Rich N0HJZ couldn't be on tonight but he also included that it doesn't hurt
to add Minnesota in your CQ. If someone misses the grid the state tells them
where to point.

We can discuss this next week if any new stations want and I am open to any
topic someone wants to bring up(as long as it pertains to 2m operating)!
