Hello NLRS land. Well, for once it didn't snow during Aurora. Of course holding our abbreviated conference at the end of July, and in a drought, helped. Over 40 Upper Midwest VHF+ enthusiasts showed up braving the smoky air conditions to test antennas (thanks Donn and Doug), move equipment from one car trunk to another car trunk, have cards checked (thanks Mike), and to indulge in many eye ball QSO. The swap event was highly successful with lots of items, the most that I have seen at an Aurora event. We had members from SD, IA, WI, IL, and of course MN show up. The NLRS donation box picked up $165 of which we will be donating $100 to the church with the remaining donations helping to cover our clubs yearly website fees. Although no inside activities were conducted this year, it was still great to be able to get together and to share our many experiences. Lots of eye ball discussion on summertime 6m activity, 6m DX, FFMA, and of course FT8 and the future of VHF+ contesting. Lets hope that Aurora'22 can be a full day event. 73, Jon
