This morning between 8:40am and a bit after 9am VE4MA worked Bill K0AWU and Gary W0GHZ on 432, 902 and 1296. The path between Barry and Gary was much better than Barry and I. My hills and forest starting in my yard and running for several miles toward Barry is tough on signals and Barry was much better on these bands in the past when tropo was very good.
432 prop went "down hill" quickly after we started. CW started loud and SSB was marginal from the "get go".
Gary W0GHZ was hearing 2 stations in a rag chew QSO on 432.100 SSB loud sometime after 9:15. They were talking about a boat anchor rehab project and Gary did not interrupt them in an attempt to determine who they were. He thought they were south of the cities. Some conversation about Worthington MN

Guessing that 70 cm might be open.
About 8:30 this morning I received KODS in Burlington Iowa. That is about
375 air miles. Also KYIN Mason City Iowa 180 miles.
I am doing some TV dxing this morning. Recently I picked up two NOS Channel
Master 4251's. These are 7 foot parabolic antennas that are very high gain
and I have added a preamp.
Probably going to sell or trade the second one if anybody has any interest
