No one has anything to say, Hi!
I am in the same position Rich, but am pressing forward anyway. At one time
I asked this distro why one would invest in a IC-9700 when the bands seemed
so dead, but I have one and am glad I bought it. To be fair, my main
antenna has been a 40-6m OCF and that's been great in spite of it only
being 25' off the ground. I have been planning on getting the 50' tower I
have up for some time now, but this year it will probably happen. I have
mostly been on 17/6m FT-8 because my VHF/UHF antennas are about the same
height as the OCF, and have mainly been used for satellite work. My
observation is that NLRS is mainly a Grid chase/contesting group, though
there is a 432 net on Mondays. However, if someone starts a net on 144 or
simply arranges a rag chew, then I think the traffic might follow.
