Had an opportunity to "do a little mountain topping" down here in
AZ....  VE4MA
and the locals came up with an activity day... Myself, along with K7EME
& KG7OG
made the trip up Mt Lemmon to a site on the Univ Arizona optical telescope
site at the 9050 ft level...  weather was 35 degrees, intermittent heavy
sleet, rain &
snow....gusty winds...visibility less than 70 yd obscured by
clouds...slushy roads...
(Real good training for what to expect when I get back home.)

Worked 11 stations in a 3 hour period....Highlite was working Barry's 2
milliwatts
on 10G and 7 milliwatts on 24G at a distance of 81 miles... His signals
were S9+.
Everyone seemed to be having fun...but, it was 75 and mostly sunny down
where they were.

See you guys in the spring...  73s   Jim  K0KFC
