Congratulations, Bill!

I'm a ways behind you, I currently need about 100 more grids to have all 488
for FFMA.

Subject: [NLRS] Thank You!!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I would like to thank everyone in NLRS who have contributed to my grid total
over the years with my "Donald DucK" grids. Each and every one of your
efforts is greatly appreciated.

At 001615z on 6/10/2020 (our Tuesday evening) my FT8 RRR was received by
Petr AG6EE huddled in 100+ degree temps on a forsaken rock out in the
Pacific. The part of the rock

he was on was in CM93 making it my 488th and last FFMA grid. I started
this quest 10 years ago, it took me 4 years to get to 486, it took me 2
years to work CM79 and it took me 4 more years to work CM93.

Petr had enough internet to upload the contact to LOTW, the contact
verified, I applied for credit and filled out the application. I stalled
at the part where I needed our Awards Manager's signature

as with the current situation I was not happy about the need to interact
with Art K0QQ who is one of my favorite "senior" hams. I had 487 credited
in the system and the 488th was in LOTW an in process

of being credited so there was no cards for Art to sign off on.

I talked to the vice director Lynn W0ND who told me to call headquarters.
I opted to email Bart instead. Next morning about 15 minutes after they
opened I had an email from Sharon Taratula informing me

she had 1) ran the LOTW credit 2) in the process lost which was the last
grid I had worked and wanted it for the commentary 3) confirmed the FFMA
award 4) was ordering the plaque and 5) needed a

picture for the web page.

It is official.

And I really like Sharon LOL.

I had to tell her they would need to wait a bit on the picture as I have not
had a haircut in 6 months and mothers have started to take their kids to the
other side of the street when I am in town.

Again, thank you to everyone who helped!
