Contest plans + FT8 Info de KA0RYT Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone. HELLO, I am planning on doing some antenna work at the farm Friday and this weekend . Will try to get the DSFO-25-432 up in place of the 2m12 ..... I have Amp#2 out at the farm and will replacing the power supply components...... should be good for 1300 watts + also have a new ODO 2 stage preamp. Now the FT8 calling frequency is 432.174 BUT FT8 needs some help doing the full grid exchange. .... To do FT8 for this contest ( 222.174 , 432.174 , etc ) you need to go into WSJTX and then select : FILE , SETTINGS , ADVANCED , and the check EU VHF CONTEST ...... After that you'll have to add the full grid info under the GENERAL tab . I then went into TX MACROS ( still in the settings ) and added CQ TEST KA0RYT EN35CT and R EN35CT ...... I ended up getting this info from the VHF Slack pages . I hope to work a few on 432 SSB , CW or FT8 .73s , Ron KA0RYT EN35ct

Don't plan to wait to get on until Sunday night ! The contest exchange is your six digit (not four digit) grid locator, for example EN34it. Six digits are used for increased precision as to your location because the contest is based on distance. Oh yea, its 222 and up. Not seeing a lot of posted activity. Check out Paul's 222MHz & Up Distance Contest activity spreadsheet at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rvE8977WNx7KWtkCpLWmmQS38923TLVFOuCZcFrkyII/edit#gid=1 and post your plans. Note along the bottom of the spreadsheet that there is a tab for fixed stations and a tab for rovers. Also note the Upper Midwest Spotting page for during the contest at www.w0uc.com/spots.htmlRight now the weather forecast for Saturday afternoon calls for 60% chance of rain while Sunday looks dry.73, JonW0ZQ______________________________________________________________NLRS mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/nlrsHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:NLRS at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
