[NLRS] Multiple Instances of WSJT-X on a computer

I do this all the time. My station is IC7600 and IC9100.

My audio interface is the Microham MK2R+..though I assume I could simply use the USB ports on radio and go directly to the PC.

Years back, Id make a .bat file to open WSJT instances nowadays I simply have 2 instances installed in separate directories and rename them..ie: 7600, 9100.

With the MK2R+ I still need to manually set TX to proper radio (unlike in CW or SSB contests where its automatic) but this configuration allows me to keep an eye on another band which is wonderful!

Since I have modified both radios to operate with SDR receivers I believe, using virtual audio cables, I could feed 2 more instances if I desired to do so. Assuming that the PC horsepower (video card) could hold up.

Subject: [NLRS] Multiple Instances of WSJT-X on a computer

Speaking from a position of minimal personal experience with WSJT-X...

The WSJT-X screens get a little busy so I'd think a bigger challenge might
be the screen size available - Does Al have a 40" 6000 x 4000 pixel
(Giga-HD?) monitor? (Or multiple more standard size monitors?)

As well, wouldn't there be challenges with routing the multiple AUDIO
interfaces from multiple radios to the intended WSJT-X instance?

With laptop screens often being 1366 x 768 these days (though I have seen
laptops with 1920 x 1080), limiting to ONE instance in a laptop might be
prudent, hence why I'm thinking Wyatt has separate laptops for each "radio"
(7300 for 6m, 9700 for 2m) in the rover. I would think that ALSO simplifies
cabling in the rover.

Wyatt is the reigning expert on this (he's actually DONE it and quite
successfully) so his comments would be the guide.

I'd also welcome Wyatt's comments about how he is set up for LOGGING
between the two laptops/radios. He's sent me screen shots that look like
N3FJP...perhaps he's running a copy of that in each laptop with them
networked so the logging programs "talk" to each other (maybe provides some
backup/redundancy also?).
