[NLRS] Use of digital modes for rain (snow, sleet, hail, etc.) scatter 10 GHz contacts?

Yes, SSB, CW and FM are the usual modes for rain scatter contacts but, does
anyone have recent experience using digital modes?
With rain scatter doppler shift, phase distortion and frequency dispersion
are considerations in the selection of a digital mode.
In his paper, W3SZ cites his example of using JT9G to overcome 10 GHz
frequency dispersion Effects. He suggests that JT9F might be more effective
in some cases.
