Janice and I intend to head out for CQWW VHF. Over the years, I (we) have
only participated in a few CQWW VHF contests on account of having to work
that weekend just to get the CSVHFS conference weekend off. If things were
normal, we'd head out to slightly more rare grids but we have made the
decision to overnight each night at our home.
Our plan is to spend Saturday at the St Charles grid corner (34/44/33/43)
and Sunday to head north to the grid corner west of Milaca, MN
(35/25/26/36). We'll have 6 and 2. We plan to be digital capable but hope
to only go to digital in the last few minutes in each grid. We'd much
prefer to be found on voice/cw. Because of the rules, we can't call you on
the cellphone to get your attention--you have to find us. We'll be chirping
APRS so we hope you'll watch and listen for us. You can "spot" us, but we
can't "spot" ourselves and we can't ask you to "spot" us.
We have our plans posted on the W0UC Upper Midwest Activity page (under the
rover tab) at:

You can follow us on APRS at:
https://aprs.fi/#!call=a%2FW9FZ-15 (might have to type in w9fz-15 the first
time you try)
We'll announce on 144.200 and then QSY to 144.240. When we go to 6M, we
normally will carry you to .190. IF the band is hopping, we may have to go
up to .240 or more.
Saturday
EN34vb 1800 - 1930Z (1300 - 1430L)
EN44bb 2000 - 2130Z (1500 - 1630L)
EN33xw 2230 - 2400Z (1730 - 1900L)
EN43aw 0000 - 0130Z (1900 - 2030L)
Sunday
EN35ax 1430 - 1530Z (0930 - 1030L)
EN25xx 1600 - 1700Z (1000 - 1100L)
EN26xa 1730 - 1900Z (1230 - 1400L)
EN36aa 1930 - 2100Z (1430 - 1600L)
Please log us with the "/R". CQWW VHF does not have "family rule" so we
will only give you one QSO per band/location.
