I think the other guys have addressed why it would be hard for one
of these radios to move down the band and connect with the SSB ops
on 902 (even in FM mode) but _we_ have a similar problem moving up the
band with typical 902 stations using transverters. I use a Demi 902
transverter with a 2m IF. The 2m rig can cover 144 to 148, a 4 MHz
spread. That gives me 902 to 906 coverage on the 33cm side. Can't get
anywhere close to 920 to 928 where the commercial rig might operate.
Additionally, the bandwidth of typical loop yagis used for 33cm SSB work
isn't there to allow a reasonable match some 18 to 20 MHz away.
So, unfortunately, as much as we'd want to talk to you, I don't think
we can when you're on that radio no matter the mode.
