Loss will be pretty steep with 1/2 inch hardline. Go 7/8 minimum... 1 1/4
would be better(or mount your amplifier at the antenna to save on TX loss).
Heck I am using 1 1/2" hardline on 2 meters to keep losses down! Plus I had
it on hand and it fit the use.

Subject: [NLRS] 1.2 GHz Heliax question
Is 1/2" Heliax sufficient for 23cm operation? I run LMR-600 for 432 MHz, and
the rated loss is adequate, but am thinking I will need to go to Heliax such
as LDF4-50 or FSJ4-50 for 23cm. What do some of you use? Thanks.
Russ
