NLRS members may be interested in attending the Madison DX Club’s August 11th “6 Meter EME” program:  



Madison DX Club Meeting is Tuesday, August 11th on Zoom.

Please join us for our special guest speaker for August. All are welcome:

"Current Trends in 6 Meter EME” will be presented by Lance Collister, W7GJ, live from Frenchtown, Montana.  Lance is one of ham radio’s greatest proponents of EME and an avid dxpeditioner, having given new ones on 6 meter EME to many around the world. Lance maintains a webpage (  <http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj> http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj) ) that is chock full of info on EME, and he runs the Magic EME email group. We will hear about the latest in 6 meter EME and about his dxpedition adventures, many to the Pacific. Please join us as we hear from a real expert on EME communications.


The program will be conducted on Zoom.


Time:   Our Zoom host, Kevin Shea, N9JKP, will be online from 5:30, to socialize before the meeting begins and to provide time to work through any technical issues.  In case of problems getting on, you can call or text Kevin at 608-444-4125.

A brief business meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. The program will begin immediately following the meeting and no later than 6:30 PM. All interested hams are welcome.

Madison DX Club Business Meeting:

*         Funding of JX0X dxpedition to Jan Mayen

*         Club dues for the new year

*         Member contest and DX activity and upcoming dxpeditions.

*         Other member activities: award progress, antenna improvements, new equipment

 

Program will begin immediately following the meeting.

 

We had 27 meeting participants in July, so we hope for another interesting group in attendance. Hope to see you all on Zoom, Tuesday evening.
