I was not very active but had lots of fun when
I was around. Thanks to the rovers for being out there.
Bruce and Janice provided several FUN 10Ghz RS QSOs on
Saturday. Nice signals and sure wish more had been active
on 10GHz as the TStorms drifted by The Cities. Conditions on 2m
were SUPER into EN04 and EN13 for a while Saturday, not sure
how the other bands where from the lack of previous activity
for comparison, but sure great on 2m. Like Jon I don't care
that much for FT8 during these VHF contests, I did have
9 contacts on FT8 between 2 and 6m. Nice to get some new calls
in the log via that mode. That is a PLUS! New blood that may
be QTH/POWER challenged and FT8 make activity in the contests
worthwhile. One of my better scores in the last 10years or so,
but not like the "old days".
