[NLRS] RF Signal generator desired

I've been working on a sig gen using the ebay PLL, it is not even close
to being ready.  The electronics are rather straight forward, the
mechanical design is a challenge to truly get to <  -100dbm.

Does anyone on the list have that ebay sig gen?  I'd love some pics of
the insides.

My GUESS is that it is a PLL with the output being split and feeding a
Log Detector to measure the power. Pessimistically, I don't believe the
output has any amplitude adjustment. If this is incorrect, someone
please tell me.

It also appears that the USB board will have the same amplitude issue.
It will go over the freq range but the output level will NOT be flat,
not even close.  As I'm finding out, amplitude is a much larger battle
than freq range.

Issues with sig gen design are both electrical (amplitude, both absolute
level and being variable controllable) and mechanical (signal leakage).
On the PLL board, the level is set by fixed value components. You need
something to vary the output level over freq. Variable gain or attenuation.

If anyone is interested in discussing further, we could chat off list.
