[NLRS] NLRS BREAKFAST THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 1st

One week earlier than usual so it doesn't interfere with the June VHF Contest !

The June Breakfast is on the north side of town ("even-numbered" month) at The Golden
Corral Buffet located at 3000 White Bear Ave, Suite #4 in  Maplewood, MN 55109.  This is
in a small strip mall east across White Bear Ave on the north end of Maplewood  Mall.
It is in the SE corner of  White Bear Ave and Woodlyn Ave.  Woodlyn is a block
south of County Rd 'D'.  The Golden Corral is a bit hard to see, but the Aldi's
Supermarket is very obvious... Golden Corral is right next door to the east.

 "Official" start time is 0830, but YMMV.  Some are there early;
some of us have trouble getting there by 0900.

Last month, I asked if we should continue meeting on the south side (i.e., Burnsville) in
the "odd-numbered" months due to low turn-out.  I asked for comments.  A few have made
suggestions: " yes, lets continue to meet at the Old Country Buffet," "No, lets not meet
there anymore"  (but with no suggestions as to where else to go), "No, lets not meet at
all in the odd-numbered months," and "lets meet every month at the Golden Corral."

No consensus.

One suggestion was to "do something that makes people want to come... maybe a 5-10 minute
or so 'show-n-tell'.  Make it worth their while for being there."  Actually, this happens
on a fairly regular basis anyway; its just not predictable nor announced in advance.

OK... I'm willing to try it.

This would apply to BOTH locations, so this could be our first try.  Yea, its short
notice, but I'll ask if anyone has something to chat about for 5-10 minutes (tops) for
this months Breakfast ?  If you do, please either announce it yourself HERE on the
reflector, or let me know and I'll post it.  Let's try to have something by, say Thursday

As far as I can tell (MNDOT hasn't updated for this coming weekend yet) there are no NEW
road closures over the weekend that will keep folks from the breakfast.  The EXISTING
"problems" include I-35W in downtown MPLS; I-35W from Lino Lakes to Roseville.  There's
also a boatload of streets being worked on all over, but I can't find a listing anywhere.

Hopefully, I'll see a bunch of you on Saturday.
