First thanks to those of you that got on for the contest. The 2 day contests are becoming so grueling for me. I just have trouble "hanging in there" and feel very obligated in being on to support those that enjoy contesting. Sadly the contests are about the only time any activity can be found on VHF/UHF/Microwave and that was what I built my station was for.
The only local rovers heard here were Jon W0ZQ/R, Mel KC0P/R and Carol N0HZO/R (only worked on Sunday). Thanks for the phone calls and QSOs without you the bands above 6m would have really suffered. LOTS of fun working the rovers and especially the CW and 10GHz Qs with Jon. Great fun with Barry VE4MA Saturday night working him on 2m, 222, 432 (Barry with 90watts) and 10GHz on direct path via light rain with no convection. Narrow tropo sounding signal. Visited a bit with John W0JT on 6m, so good to have that chance. I so appreciated his help with Aurora gatherings for YEARS.

6meter woke up from it's extended nap providing some activity both days. I ran some FT8 as well as SSB and CW. Of the 136 QSOs on 6meters 67 or 49% were FT8. I work almost exclusively "Search and Pounce" on 6m very rarely call CQ or work a string.

I just received word that my 60th high school reunion (IN MISSOURI) conflicts with the August weekend 10GHz and above.  "Of all the dirty luck". The every 10 year reunions are the ONLY times I get to see a few of my best buds from those days ....
