[NLRS] Question about roving on Sunday, June 9

Friends,

Our plan for this weekend's contest is to operate from the home QTH at
EN43oq for at least several hours on Saturday. I've repaired my rotor,
repaired the feed line on 432, and hope tonight to repair the driven
element on my 222 MHz quagi. That should put us on 50-144-222-432 from the
base station. We'll try to get on the air right at contest start time and
hopefully will have at least three hams in the house, so extra points using
the family rule.

I'm hoping to rove with my son Christopher, KC9JTL, on Sunday. He and I
have had some good times doing that in the past. He's just graduated from
college and is spending some time at home, so this may be our last
opportunity to rove together. We probably won't have 222 for the rove.

We'll be shooting for the grid corner at St. Charles, MN. My question is
what time would be best, earlier or later? We could go to an earlier Mass
than usual and make it to that corner around 1:00 pm and operate for a few
hours. Alternatively, we could go to our normal Mass and get there around
4:00 pm and again operate for a few hours. Looking for advice on which
would likely net us more activity.

73,

David W9HQ
