Hello Gents
We continue the Monday night net at 8 PM CST. Please check in.

We have a growing activity level on 1296.106 nightly.
I have a HB 3.5 meter yagi at 80 feet and 1500 watts from my EME system for tropo.
AB9QH has about 600 watts, KC9KCR has about 150 watts to a great station. N9EM just got a GS15b tube amp I set him up with. He has it up to 400 watts PEP. His antenna is 2 x 45 el loopers. I'll give him two more in the spring. John N9EM is "gunge ho" and reaping the rewards from people who no longer want tube amps. They are almost free for the taking now. They worked for 100 years and if a guy is willing to learn a bit it's a bonanza for anyone who has the patience to learn tube technology. N9IYV has power and a superb QTH on 1296. KU8Y is another 800 watt 1296 station from EN61. His QTH is magnificent. N9IYV and AB9QH are able to work VE3ZV in EN92. He's too far for me.
N9EM has an older DEMI 1296 transverter I'm talking him into giving to WA9HIR. We need an amp for him. Hint hint.

PS. I picked up a 6 and 2 meter beautifully home brewed 8877 amps at MUD for 100 bucks each. Ten years ago they would have sold for $2000 each! N9EM has the 2 meter amp & I have the 6 meter amp.
